Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment

Solvay Specialty Polymers is committed to full compliance with the European Parliament Directive 2002/95/EC and its amendment 2005/618/EC, Restriction on the use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment. The purpose of RoHS is to remove a total of six substances – lead, mercury, chromium VI, cadmium, PBB and PBDEs – from electrical and electronic equipment.

Although RoHS is a European Union (EU) Directive, manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment outside of Europe must abide by this legislation if the equipment they produce is ultimately imported into an EU member state. In an effort to support our customers, Solvay Specialty Polymers is posting our RoHS compliance letters on our website so that all of our customers can easily gain access to them at any time.

National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International

Certificates of Origin

Only goods which qualify under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) rules of origin can obtain NAFTA tariff preference, i.e. reduced or eliminated tariffs.

The NAFTA rules of origin take into account where goods are produced and what materials are used to produce them. Below is a list of several of our products that customers routinely request NAFTA Certificate of Origins. In addition, we have included non-NAFTA eligible certificates for a few products that do not meet the eligibility criteria.

These certificates of origin are only valid for customers who are purchasing product(s) in the NAFTA region which includes North America, Canada and Mexico.

If you purchase a product in a region other than NAFTA, or cannot find a certificate for the product(s) your company purchases, please contact Carrie McMichael to confirm the origin of the product. Please specify the full name of the product you are purchasing.
