Hyflon® MFA® 1041 is ideal for primary insulation, cross-webs and separators. Halar® ECTFE offers excellent weatherability, chemical and thermal resistance for durable jacketing. Foamed Hyflon® PFA grades can be used for primary insulation for STP applications and coaxial cables. Foamed Halar® ECTFE grades can be used for cross-webs and coaxial cable core insulation.
Electrical wiring in the home is usually insulated using jackets made from plasticized, high molecular weight PVC. The main advantages of using PVC for these products are its excellent insulation and fire resistance qualities, good resistance to water, oils and hydrocarbons, low tendency to form fish-eyes and suppleness. It is also extremely cost-effective. Cables and wires are manufactured by extrusion.
Ambient cure crosslinkable HFFR compounds were specially developed for high performance building wire applications. Insulation and sheathing grades offer: High fire resistance, good electrical properties, excellent fluid resistance, wide working temperature (-40°C to 125°C), public space safety and electronic circuit failure prevention: low toxicity, no acid gas and dark smoke emission in case of fire, high resistance to artificial light and UV, RoHS compliance.
