Solvay Solexis has announced the launch of Fluorolink, a textile treatment to provide enhanced water- and oil-based stain repellency.
Fluorolink is a water-based dispersion system, PFOA-free that will not degrade to PFOA. The product is easily formulated with several finishing auxiliaries such as crosslinking agents, extenders and suitable hydrogenated resins. It can be applied via padding on natural and synthetic fibers and blends. Once applied, the original aesthetics and color of the substrate remain unchanged.

Fluorolink is the ideal treatment for apparel, wallcoverings, and home furnishing textiles where enhanced stain repellency and easy care are desired. Stains from coffee, red wine, chili and soy sauce can be avoided by simply blotting the surface with an absorbent cloth or paper towel. Because of the water repellency properties of Fluorolink as well as its excellent stain repellency and durability, mild washing conditions (30°C/85°F) ensure soil removal. Unlike other fluorocarbon treatments, fabrics formulated with Fluorolink do not require post-washing thermal treatments (ironing or tumble drying) to recover their repellency performance.
