On the occasion of the award ceremony on 23.9.2010 in the ORF-television studio/ORF-broadcasting studio the Viktor Sigl, member of the provincial government, explains that sustainable corporate success leads to innovative ideas, new strategies and products. Out of 100 the most innovative projects had been chosen by a top-class jury.

Company "extruwood" at Pasching could achieve the 2^nd place in the category "medium-size enterprise" with the intelligent product "Barefoot-Board".

More than one year of preparatory work had been invested and intensive researches together with Austrian Associations for Research had been done in the project "Barefoot-Board". Due to the concentrated Know How of wood engineering at extruwood as well as the technology of the experienced employees of the family-owned enterprise "Kunststoffwerk ZITTA" the "Barefoot-Board" was brought to the market in a very short time.

The result of this is the awarded "Barefoot-Board", which is extremely long-living and which combines the product-immanent characteristics of the wood fiber (stability) with the durability of the homogeneous polymers.
