Hylar® 5000 PVDF is used by paint and coatings manufacturers as a base resin for long-life finishing systems applied to metal substrates. When based on 70% Hylar® 5000 PVDF resin, these coatings exhibit exceptional color fidelity over a long life of service; they resist degradation by ultraviolet radiation and attack by airborne pollutants, salt, wind-driven sand and chemicals.

Hylar® 5000 PVDF-based coatings are coil or spray applied most commonly to aluminum, aluminized steel and galvanized steel. Hylar® 5000 PVDF-based coatings are available from licensed coatings manufacturers worldwide.
