Solvay Indupa is one of the most important petrochemical companies in MERCOSUR and its main products are PVC (PolyVinyl Chloride) that is sold under the Solvin® brand, and Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH).

PVC Pastes & specialties
Pastes for spreading, coating or moulding, fillers for lowering paste viscosity and ageing and latex, solvent-free paste used as a component for inks and varnishes.
Caustic Soda (NaOH) Strong base soluble in water produced by the electrolysis of salt brine
Solvay Indupa has two industrial complexes: one located in Bahia Blanca Petrochemical Pole, in Argentina, producing 210,000 ton/year of PVC and 180,000 tons/year of Sodium hydroxide; and the other located in the industrial complex in Santo André ,Brazil , where it produces 240,000 tons/year of PVC and 100,000 tons/year of Sodium hydroxide.
Solvay Indupa employs about 800 people directly and provides jobs for some thousand of professionals hired throughout Mercosur. Yet, it is worth to mention that, generally speaking, petrochemical activities have a multiplying effect over the productive chain of plastic and other products, when it comes to employment.
