More of what you're looking for in a High Performance Plastic.
These high performance plastics are used throughout the semiconductor industry where dimensional stability, wear resistance, chemical resistance and high temperature processing are required. High strength and stiffness plus long-life performance makes them an effective alternative to metal components in wafer handling, processing vessels, parts carriers and IC test equipment sockets and handlers.
AvaSpire® (modified PEEK) grades are formulated to meet specific application requirements. These formulations capitalize on PEEK's distinctive performance attributes, with some grades offering more attractive economics.
EpiSpire® (HTS) has the highest heat resistance of any transparent thermoplastic. With a Tg of 265°C (509°F), it can provide the strength, stiffness and dimensional stability in high-temperature applications that have traditionally relied on filled, semi-crystalline polymers.
KetaSpire® (PEEK) offers the highest chemical resistance of any semi-crystalline plastic with excellent retention of mechanical properties up to 570°F (300°C). Glass fibre-reinforced and carbon fibre-reinforced grades provide a wide range of performance options for demanding applications.
PrimoSpire® (SRP) is a transparent amorphous plastic that provides exceptional strength, stiffness and hardness without reinforcement. This combined with the material's high compressive strength-one of the highest among plastics-makes PrimoSpire® (SRP) ideal for structural applications that have historically relied on composites and metals. PrimoSpire® (SRP) resin also offers uniquely superior chemical resistance, fire retardant and ablative properties.
Torlon® (PAI) has the highest strength and stiffness of any thermoplastic up to 275°C (525°F). It has outstanding resistance to wear, creep, and chemicals- including strong acids and most organics-and is ideally suited for severe service environments.
