Other Semi-Crystallines

More smart solutions for your smart designs.

Our semi-crystalline polymers go above and beyond. They are typically compounded with additives such as glass, minerals and impact modifiers to achieve exacting results.

Glass fiber-reinforced grades provide higher stiffness, strength and creep resistance at high temperature for structural applications. Mineral-filled plastic resins offer enhanced dimensional stability and flatness, making them good candidates for plating and epoxy coatings. Impact-modified grades provide significantly improved toughness across a broad humidity and temperature range.

Primef® polyphenylene sulfide
Primef polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is a highly fluid plastic resin that is inherently flame retardant. Components molded from Primef compounds offer excellent dimensional stability and have virtually no water absorption. They are unaffected by an impressive range of organic and mineral-based chemicals, even at high temperature over a prolonged period of time. These attributes combined with a continuous use temperature up to 428°F (220°C) make Primef resins a reliable choice for demanding applications in automotive, coatings, electrical, electronics and the chemical processing industry.

Xydar® liquid crystal polymer
Xydar liquid crystal polymer (LCP) is a glass fiber or mineral-filled resin that features excellent flow properties. It can be injection molded into thin-wall components and has outstanding strength at extreme temperatures to 572°F (300°C). Xydar resin is inherently flame retardant, transparent to microwave radiation, and resistant to virtually all chemicals.
