The packaging business encompasses a variety of applications. Solvay offers barrier coating resins for lightweight packaging structures, PVC compounds  for familiar packaging applications and processing additives.

General packaging
The Solvay PVC product range offers an excellent combination of visual, mechanical and chemical properties.  Because of this flexibility, these products are used in many applications, including bottles and caps, bags and pouches, containers and seals.
Furthermore, these packaging plastics are being recycled by converters.

Barrier films
PVDC is the transparent barrier that enables lightweight packaging materials to preserve food and pharmaceutical products over long periods. Solvay offers the widest range of PVDC barrier plastics for such applications.

Additives
Solvay offers polymer processing aids to assist packaging film producers to improve quality and output.
