Sector Management

Jacques van Rijckevorsel
Educated as a Civil Engineer at the Université Catholique de Louvain ( UCL-Belgium), Jacques van Rijckevorsel joined Solvay in 1974 as a Scientific Analyst in the Central Laboratories of NOH.  After several different positions in Italy and in the Processing Sector in Brussels, he was successively Managing Director of Draka Polva / Solvay Draka (NL) in 1991 and Managing Director of the Vinyls SBU in 1996.
In 2000, he was appointed as General Manager of the Processing Sector and member of the Solvay Executive Committee.
Nowadays, he is member of the Solvay Executive Committee, General Manager of the Plastics Sector (merging the former distinct Processing and Plastics Sectors) and the Group Innovation Sponsor .

Vinyls Business Unit  

Jean-Pierre Pleska
Chemical engineer by the whims of fate, Jean-Pierre Pleska has been embarked since 1970 on a career of permanent challenges within the Solvay Group, starting from the research, finance and applied economic sciences, marketing and sales to business management in the processing and plastics sectors in Spain, Thailand and Belgium.  He has nowadays the challenge to define and deploy the right strategy that will ensure a sustainable future for the Vinyl business.

Specialty Polymers Business Unit 

Enzo Morici
Born in Italy,  trained as a mechanical engineer, Enzo Morici started his career with Solvay in 1977 as a construction engineer.
By the end of 1979, he moved to sales&marketing for various businesses whithin the Solvay Group . In the early 90's he  was appointed as worldwide Business Manager for Hydrogen Peroxides and derivatives. Subsequently, he was Managing Director of two Solvay subsidiaries, respectively in the Polyolefins and in plastics processing for the automotive industry.
Since mid '99 he is the General Manager of the Specialty Polymers Strategic Business Unit.
